WEAVER NAVIGATION PR

Venue: Gate 7, Compass Minerals Works, Winsford, CW7 2PE.
Grid Ref: SJ651685
WhatThreeWords: gymnasium.uncle.eggs
Click here to see the location of the venue.

Ride Description: This mostly flat ride uses a converted railway line, restricted byways, private tracks and lanes. The vehicular bridge across the Weaver Navigation that was closed for refurbishment last year is now reopened with a solid surface (no clanking planks with spooky gaps - hurrah!) so unlike previous years all routes will now go across the river Weaver. There are two bridlegates on all routes which we hope to have tied back. All options will use the Winsford end of the Whitegate Way and ride to Whitegate Village with its pretty thatched cottages and “Knights Guard” sculpture & include private tracks only available by permission. Most tracks are well drained & will be rideable even if we have a wet spring. Parking is on tarmac. The exact mileage is yet to be determined but expected to be circa 12km, 18km and 24 km options all of which have less than 20% on roads.

Special Instructions: Because of the use of private land, maps will be emailed to entrants but will not be posted on this website.

Facilities: Hard standing & toilet but no catering or water. Compass Minerals are kindly providing their tarmac car park as a venue which we must leave clean!

Gates: There are two bridlegates on all routes which we hope will be tied back.
