PEAK DISTRICT 2nd July 2006 Report by Josie Ratter. |
It was a scorching hot day when the Inter-regionals were held at the Peak District Ride. Although the ride was beautiful and wonderfully marked the heat was incredible. Everyone did well to get their horses round in that weather! let alone get a grade. There were quite a few eliminations but that was to be expected in that heat. The ground although hard was good going even for barefoot horses!! The venue was missing only shade as it had water refreshments and a sponsor. The winners of the classes won Derby House vouchers and very well deserved they were to. We (Cheshire) won the competiton making it all worth it. The stunning views and easy to follow marking meant it was a very enjoyable expierience. |
