CHESHIRE EGB PLATINUM RIDE

Venue: A field on the corner of Stoneyford Lane and Cuddington Lane at the crossroads opposite the Forest View Inn (address of the Forest View Inn: Gallowsclough Lane, Oakmere, Northwich, Cheshire, CW8 2TG).

NOTE: This ride is now a one-day event but with the opportunity to camp the night before for those who wish to experience an overnight stay with their horse.

Entries Limited: 30

Ride Description: Easy, relaxed pleasure rides of either 20 or 28km which are mostly off road and flat, using the Whitegate Way and adjacent tracks. The route meanders through beautiful mid-Cheshire and uses a well surfaced disused railway line. The routes are ideal for a training ride or for those new to endurance.

Free camping and corralling is available on the Friday night, again ideal for those who haven’t spent a night away with their horse before and want to try in a safe environment.

Stabling / Accommodation: Camping and coralling free of charge on Friday night but please note NO CAMPING IN TENTS is allowed, vehicles/trailers only.

Facilities: Portaloos and in the adjacent yard is a shower, drinking water and horse water. The pub next to field also does good evening food. and a catering van will be available at the venue field on Saturday.

Gates: Max 3, hopefully open.

Special Instructions: Route maps and directions will be provided.

Special Instructions: Please approach venue from Stoneyford Lane or Cheesehill Lane. Do NOT approach from Cuddington Lane because turn is too tight! Specific directions will be provided. Rules for the team relay and team competition will be available on Clubhouse & Cheshire Group Website by end April.

A perfect winter ride with wonderful views over the Cheshire Plain - weather permitting! There is a short stretch of road through the outskirts of the town at start & finish then disused railway , bridleways & quiet lanes. 30% roadwork. No gates.
